Holy Week 2016

Unlike other families out there during the holy week season they will be going out of town. Our family have a tradition for 5 years already and that's the saints procession held in our parish Immaculate Concepcion Parish in Karangalan Village. We are in charge of one of the saints joining the procession. Our beloved "Santa Maria Salome". My tita is asked to have a saint last 2011 they just assigned a saint for her. She accepted the saint with all her heart. :)

She is one of the holy women who were present at the Crucifixion of Jesus, and who later came to clean His tomb.

During the season we are assigned to buy flowers and fix the karosa for her. Every year we buy shirts for our devotees that join us walk during the procession. Different color of shirts a year. This year is light violet.The walk is during Holy Wednesday and Maundy Friday after mass in the afternoon. So, wednesday morning my tita and I go to Dangwa Manila to buy flowers for her. Flowers should be fresh and will be fresh till friday. I am incharge of the cleaning of the karosa. Attending meeting in the church for the procession proper. Normally after lunch time we fix the flowers for Salome. So that we can bring her to the church ahead of time. After the walk of Maundy Friday we let the devotee who join us to go to our house to eat. And thats how we offer our time for the holy week season. Easter sunday is the best we go out for swim.
